The journey
Food was always the beginning.
Gino’s journey began in the coastal town of Chiclayo, Peru, where his mother owned a seafood restaurant called Dos Y Uno, just five minutes from the beach. The restaurant was known for fresh clams, crab, and oysters bought daily from the nearby pier.
In 1989, Gino followed his brother to Western Washington to begin a new chapter. While working in local restaurants, he met Kelly, who had grown up in California and Virginia and worked in the front of the house at several fine-dining restaurants. They later married and began building a family and restaurant story of their own.

Gino and Kelly open Gino’s Bistro, now Gino’s Pizza, Pasta & Co.

They purchase the restaurant connected to so many family memories, now known as Gino’s at the Point.
A restaurant shaped by family.
Over the years, Gino and Kelly raised their four children—Keanu, Max, Kiara, and Nyah—in the lower Browns Point area. Each began working in the family restaurants at age 14, learning the value of hard work while building lasting relationships with guests.
Summer days were often spent at Dash Point Beach, followed by clam chowder from the original Lobster Shop. In 2017, Gino and Kelly brought the story full circle by purchasing the restaurant that had become such a meaningful part of their family’s life. Today, Gino’s at the Point remains a celebration of treasured memories, new beginnings, and the community gathered around their tables.
